BODY THERAPY

Discover Additional Treatment Methods We Provide

The services we provide at Riversedge don't end with manual Chiropractic care. Our approach to your treatment plan and care includes various holistic body therapy treatments to enhance our chiropractic adjustments. Our team are here to listen to your specific issues and goals, which helps usprovide the proper treatment plan. Our treatment plan may include some of the following:

IFC (Interferential Current)

IFC therapy is a therapeutic modality that is used often in a chiropractor's office or a physical therapist's office. Sticky pads are placed around the painful area and a current passes through the area. The current penetrates deeper than other electrical modalities and has a number of physiological effects that have therapeutic value. These include increasing blood flow to the area, decreasing pain and promoting tissue repair.

Moist Heat

Moist heat relieves stiffness, improves circulation and brings relief to muscle pain and overall soreness. We use it as an adjunct to IFC to enhance healing and relief during treatment. It also prepares the area to be adjusted and often makes the adjustment much easier.

MET (Microcurrent Therapy)

Microcurrent is the application of frequency specific electrical currents to the injured part of the body. Microcurrent Therapy helps injured tissue heal faster and provides relief from pain caused by injury or chronic conditions. Microcurrent therapy is most valuable when combined with an individualized exercise program and chiropractic sessions.

TENS

A small, often handheld unit that provides electrical stimulation for pain relief. A TENS unit is a type of therapeutic modality typically used in chiropractic and physical therapy clinics. Many patients own a TENS unit and control pain at home. TENS stands for transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation.
